Renico Construction Newsletter- November 2022

Category Newsletters

Recently Professor Adam Habib, who until 2021 served as vice-chancellor of WITS University, tweeted that South Africa is truly cursed by the quality of its politicians. Unfortunately, this is not only a South African or even just an African problem, but a global problem.

With the ruling parties elective conference around the corner, the political meddling is in full swing with politicians scrambling to side with their candidate of choice. One thing however is certain - whoever is elected will not bring sudden change to the everyday problems faced by ordinary South Africans. Job creation, proper healthcare, education, and economic growth are unfortunately not high on the list of priorities of any South African politician.

But luckily South Africans are a resilient bunch of people! Not only are we constantly reminded of the impact made by extraordinary South Africans on the world stage with obvious names like Nelson Mandela, Dr Chris Barnard, Elon Musk, and Charlize Theron coming to mind, but there are hundreds of South African academics, entrepreneurs and businesspeople who make an impact not only in South Africa but also around the globe. These are the people we need to rely on to bring change to this beautiful country we all call home.

FEATURED RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES

Over the past weeks steady progress was made to the construction of the Rainhill show block in Linden. Our aim is to complete and furnish the show unit early in the New Year by which time the remaining units should also be on second floor level. This development will bring luxury three-, two- and one- bedroom apartments to the popular and trendy Randburg suburb.

Another group of clients recently took occupation of their brand new Mooi Land and Welverdiend homes within the de Land Estate in Potchefstroom. I am sure that the new residents will quickly settle into their new environment and that they will enjoy the benefits of buying into this magnificent lifestyle estate.

After the arrival of a construction team at the Fernhill site in Bryanston, no time was wasted to commence with the construction of the show unit. I am happy to report that the first home is already at first floor slab height. Once the slab is installed, construction to the second floor will continue in preparation for the erection of the roof.

At the end of last month, we once again had more families taking occupation of their completed Brendavere Estate cluster homes in Fourways. With another five homes earmarked for completion by the 1st of December, this will bring the number of completed homes within the estate to fifty-four!

We completed and furnished our Ndalo show unit during last month to further bolster our ongoing marketing campaign. The end result was obviously well received by clients visiting the site as there was a definite increase in sales concluded in the weeks that followed.

Following on the excellent sales attained at our Albertsdal sites we are pushing ahead with the final planning stages of our next residential project in the area adjacent to the Leano and Ndalo sites. When all these are completed the iThemba residential project, comprising of ninety-six simplex homes in either a two-or three-bedroom configuration, will be launched.
