Renico Construction Newsletter- September 2023

Category Newsletters

Once again most of South Africa, with the only exception being the Western Cape, was catapulted from Winter straight into Summer. Only last week we were still donning coats against the cold weather and this week the mercury will be kissing 30 degrees! These past years it has become a trend for both Spring and Autumn weather to be overshadowed by Summer and Winter.

More positive news was a further drop in our inflation rate to its lowest level in two years. Currently sitting at 4,7%, which is well within the 3-6% Monetary Policy Committee 'sweet spot', consumers should expect no change in the current repo rate with hopefully the first decrease announced early in 2024.

2024 Will also be the year in which South Africans will cast their vote in their seventh democratic elections. There are so many things to be fixed in this beautiful country and we do have some amazing people who are willing to contribute. If only our politicians can realize that they are there to serve the country and its citizens and not their own agendas, we will be well on our way in creating a better society for all.

FEATURED RESIDENTIAL PROPERTIES

One of the best kept secrets in the Greater Midvaal and Vanderbijlpark is the Riverspray Lifestyle Estate, situated on the banks of the Vaal River. This security and lifestyle estate offers a variety of sectional title apartments and full title stands ranging from 150m² to 650m². From its initial launch almost a decade ago, more than half of the stands were sold and developed. Although we still have a limited number of stands available to purchase, availability of the prime stands steadily decreased as they are sold to clients who wish to build their dream home within this stunning estate. We have also quietly been working behind the screens on an exciting new project within the Riverspray Lifestyle Estate to be launched in the coming months. More information on this exciting project will be shared in one of my next newsletters.

Our Rainhill show unit is still under construction and I am very excited to share the photos of the staged show unit once completed.

We recently had a late cancellation of one of our Brendavere Estate transactions, but this property was quickly sold to one of the clients on our waiting list within 24 hours of being placed back onto the market.  We have thirteen homes to complete this year with the last fourteen homes completed and ready for occupation by March.

LAUNCHING SHORTLY

Last month I shared the first artist illustration of our Fernhill project situated on Homestead Avenue in Bryanston. As we get closer to this exciting launch, I can now also share an internal illustration of these stunning family homes. Not only will the entire development be linked to a back-up generator, every home is fitted with a Smeg gas stove and top-end gas geysers. Construction to the complex entrance and show home has already commenced and I expect to launch this project within the coming months. With prices starting from an incredible R2,995m, this for a four-bedroom free standing duplex home, one will definitely struggle to find better value for money in Bryanston and surrounds.
